I spoke to HP tech support for this very issue and, like everyone else, they first tried to feed me the out of warranty bull. When I again mentioned the service note number they said they would fix it but they are trying to hit me with an "Upliftment Charge" of $70... admittedly cheaper than a new fuser but What the heck?!? Has anyone else experienced this?

It could be the cyan developer has gone stiff. This might have worn the gear on the developer drive assembly or it might have just taken the teeth off the cyan developer. You will have to strip it apart and check it.

Replaced the cartridge, same issue with grinding. Don't know what to do because its 6 years old, and no real repair places. I might tear it apart and look at it. Thanks.

It's possible, although I've only had it happen with black. It could be that the cyan toner cartridge is faulty, it might be stiff.

I have a grinding noise that is keeping me from printing anything from the Cyan toner. Could this be the same case?

Called hp's 800 number and got transferred to 'Dan' in tech support. Started off by telling me the warranty was out etc, etc. I mentioned the service note and after a few seconds, he informs me that the service note only extends the warranty by two years for that particular problem. Meaning I'm 5 or so months too late.

I'll try again and see if I get a different response from someone else.

I replaced the fuser in my p4014 and updated the firmware....no it takes almost as long as it did when the fuser went out to print. What could be my problem?
